DEAR PHIL,I’D LIKE TOO THANK-YOU FOR GOING ON THE SEX’ REHAB SHOW ‘ WITH DR. DREW! I PERSONALLY DO NOT SUFFER FROM SEX ADDICTION. I NOW HAD DISCOVERED I WAS USING” FOOD AS AN ADDICTION. BELIEVE IT OR NOT, I FOUND THIS OUT IN THERAPY….HOWEVER, I IN SOME STRANGE WAY WAS ABLE ( MYSELF) TOO RELATE TOO THE PAIN IN WHICH YOU HAVE SUFFERED WITH THE LOSS OF YOUR MOM. I AM SO VERY SORRY THAT YOU LOST HER SO SUDDENLY. I TOO LOST MY FATHER SUDDENLY WHEN HE DIED AFTER FALLING DOWN ALL BUT ONLY ‘3′ STAIRS. I WAS ABLE MYSELF TOO RELATE TOOMY OWN INTERNAL “PAIN “! IT ALSO MADE ME ALSO REALIZE ALOT OF MY UNDER LYING ISSUES I ALSO HAD & TRIED TOO IGNORE . I FELT IN SOME WAY IT WAS MY FAULT THAT I WAS NOT THERE.I WAS ALSO SO SO LOST AND IN SOME WAYS ANGRY..BUT I REALIZED THIS WHEN I WATCHED YOU ON THE SHOW. I WAS ABLE TOO KIND OF RELATE & UNDERSTAND SOME OF THE PAIN……..AND I GOT SOME HELP WHILE WATCHING YOU & THE CAST ON THE SHOW. I THOUGHT I WOULD LET YOU KNOW…THAT BY SEEING SOMEONE ELSE ALSO HURTING BY THE LOSE OF A VERY CLOSE PARENT BY SUDDEN DEATH I TOO NEVER REALLY EVER DID ( UNTIL AWHILE AGO) WAS ABLE TOO ACTUAL COPE WITH IT.THANKS FOR DOING WHAT YOU DID. & I HOPE ALL IS GOING WELL FOR YOU. It is very inspirational for addicts. I struggle with addiction & understand the rock n roll scene (Venesa.net)…and you can check out some videos I’ve done by googling “Venesasprivates”.
Thanks for putting yourself out there. You totally have reversed any karma into positive by doing that because you have helped so many people by having the courage to come forward and talk about addiction the way you did.
